Golf Short Game Facility
The North Dakota State men’s and women’s golf teams moved into a new short game facility in February 2018 on the third floor of the Sanford Health Athletic Complex.
The facility includes 2,500 square-feet of sand-infilled putting and chipping turf. The turf is contoured with slopes to simulate realistic on-course scenarios and features 12 holes spread over a variety of flat and sloped conditions.
The chipping areas have both 3/8 inch fairway turf and one-inch rough to simulate all types of conditions, including more difficult lies around the greens.
The facility also features a student-athlete lounge and study area.
The SYNLawn manufactured turf was installed by Accelerated Green Works, Inc. of West Fargo, and Signarama of Fargo installed the wall art in the facility.
