Strength and Conditioning

North Dakota State University student-athletes have year-round access to strength and conditioning facilities on the first floor of the Sanford Health Athletic Complex.

Designed to maximize the time and enhance the overall training capacity for each of NDSU's sport programs, the facility suits a training program that has consistently help turn out national champions and All-Americans.

The large check-in area at the entrance has a variety of cardio equipment such as treadmills and elliptical machines, and there is 60 yards of turf in a dedicated space separate from the weight room that allows coaches to provide quality instruction while training multiple teams at the same time.

The entire weight room was outfitted with new equipment upon opening in the summer of 2016. The rubber flooring features built-in drop zones that allows for easier cleaning and less movement of equipment and racks.

Near the entrance, the Gate City Bank Fueling Station provides nutritious snacks such as fruits, cereal bars, yogurt and more for athletes to fuel their bodies before and after workouts.
