Consistency was the hallmark of this student-athlete, who was one of the top distance runners in NCAA Division II during her career at North Dakota State...Three-time cross country All-American under coaches Sue Patterson and Jerry Gores...Placed 18th in 1983, fifth in 1985, and 14th in 1986...Member of NDSU’s North Central Conference championship teams in 1983 and 1985, and the NCAA reigonal championship squad in 1985...Made top-five finishes at the NCC meet all four years and led the Bison to four straight Top 10 finishes at the NCAA Division II national cross country meet...Won the NCC indoor 3,000-meter run in 1986 and claimed outdoor titles in the 3000, 5000 and 10,000 meters...Grew up as the 10th of 12 children in Excelsior, Minn., where she led Minnetonka to state cross country championships her junior and senior years.
