One of the most versatile sprinters in school history...Nine-time NCAA Division II All-American, running on six outdoor relays and three indoor...NCC's only four-time women's 100-meter dash champion from 1990 to 1993...Three-time NCC 200-meter dash champion...Ran on seven outdoor and three indoor NCC championship relay teams...Four-time individual NCC indoor champ in the 55, 200, 300 and 400 meters...Seven-time NCC outdoor champion in the 100 and 200 meters, the second most titles in NCC outdoor history...1993 CoSIDA Academic At-Large All-America second team...Two-time Academic All-North Central Conference first team...Two-time National Strength and Conditioning All-American...Set NDSU indoor and Bison Sports Arena 300 record (:40.71)...And still holds records as a member of NDSU's outdoor 800-meter medley relay (1:46.34) and the NDSU and BSA record indoor 800-meter relay (1:41.57)...On the NDSU outdoor list, still ranks No. 7 in the 100 (:11.92) and No. 9 in the 200 (:24.53)...On the Bison indoor list, ranks No. 4 in the 300 (:40.71)...Grew up in Watertown, S.D., where she was a three-time track team MVP and a state champion in the 200 meters, 400 meters and 800-meter relay...Held the 100 meters record at the Howard Wood Dakota Relays from 1989 to 2008...Two-time state gymnastics champion in the vault and runner-up in the all-around and also played basketball for two seasons...Inducted into the Watertown High School Athletic Hall of Fame in 2001...She still holds the school record for the 100 meters with a time of 11.89 seconds...Graduated from NDSU in 1993 with a bachelor's degree in physical education and earned a master's degree in elementary education from Minot State in 2002...She began her professional career as a business education and physical education teacher and assistant coach for track, volleyball and basketball at Odebolt (Iowa) High School...Has been teaching health and physical education at Eastwood Elementary in West Fargo since 1998...Served as the head track coach at Moorhead High School in 1994 and was an assistant coach at Fargo North from 1996 to 1998 and Fargo South from 1999 to 2006...Also served as an assistant gymnastics coach at West Fargo High School from 1996 to 2000...Has been named the North Dakota Elementary Physical Education Teacher of the Year and was a recipient of the North Dakota Association for Physical Education, Recreation and Dance Pathfinder Award as an advocate for girls and women in sports...She and her husband, Rory, have three children, Kaia, Merritt and Joshua.
