AVCA Division II All-America first team selection in 1990 and 1991...Two-time ASICS/Volleyball Magazine All-American, including a first team in 1991...Two-time NCAA Elite Eight all-tournament team...Three-time AVCA All-North Central Region pick...Three-time All-NCC first team selection...Led the NCC in kills and hitting percentage en route to Player of the Year honors in 1991...Five-time conference Player of the Week...The Bison advanced to NCAA Elite Eight all four seasons, placing third in 1988, 1989, 1991 and second in 1990...Member of four straight NCC championship volleyball teams...Selected as an alternate for the 1991 U.S. Olympic Sports Festival and was one of five Division II players invited to a tryout for the USA National 'B' Team in 1991...National Strength and Conditioning All-American...One of the most prolific attackers in Bison history...Still holds school records for most kills in a three-set match with 26 vs. Florida Southern...Her four-set match record of 35 kills vs. Augustana is the NDSU overall record...Also has the record for most attacks in a single season (1,517), most kills per set in a season (5.00), and most blocks in a five-set match (15 vs. St. Cloud State)...Ranks second all-time at NDSU in kills (1,855) and kills per set (3.61) and ranks among the top five in points, points per set, attacks, block assists, and total blocks...Also competed in track and field for at NDSU...Six-time All-North Central Conference performer in the high jump...Career bests were 5 feet, 6 inches indoors and 5-7 outdoors...Came to the Bison from Shanley High School in Fargo, where she lettered in basketball, volleyball and track...Earned the state's "Miss Volleyball" award in 1988 and was a candidate for "Miss Basketball" in addition to being named the state's Female Athlete of the Year...Graduated from NDSU in 1993 with bachelor's degrees in biotechnology and microbiology...Earned a master's degree in plant pathology from NDSU in 2001 and is currently a Ph.D. candidate...She has been a microbiologist and laboratory research manager at NDSU for the last 15 years...Author of more than 20 refereed journal articles as well as numerous abstracts and symposia proceedings...Has presented research at scientific meetings in England, Scotland, Ireland, Italy and Greece...She and her husband, Steven have two boys, George and Ted.
