Two-time Louisville Slugger/NFCA Division II All-American, first team in 2001 and second team in 2000 … Four-time NFCA Division II All-North Central Region first team selection … Two-time NCAA Division II North Central regional all-tournament team in 1999 and 2000 … 1998 North Central Conference Freshman of the Year … Four-time all-NCC performer … Five-time NCC Player of the Week during her career ... Member of 2000 NCAA Division II national champi-onship team … Played on four NCAA tournament teams including a pair of regional championship teams … Bison went 13-7 in NCAA tournament play … Program's all-time leader in home runs (53), doubles (82), runs batted in (263) and total bases (605) … On NDSU career charts, No. 2 in games played (282), at bats (882), runs scored (216), hits (344) and slugging percentage (.686), No. 4 in batting average (.390, 344-882), fielding chances (1299) and putouts (1189), and No. 9 in fielding percentage (.988, 1189-95-15) and on-base percentage (.429) … Played in school record 80 games in 1998 … Also holds single-season records with 30 doubles (1998) and 168 total bases (1998) ... Following her career at NDSU, she played on a USA Athletes Softball team coached by Darren Mueller and Gerice Olson that toured Belgium and Holland ... Shelly played professional softball in Italy for Ronchi Dei Legionari, earning a spot on an all-star team that took on the Spain, Italy and Venezuela Olympic teams ... ... Shelly married Matt Rowedder in 2007 and they have a son, Marik ... She currently works with the City of Oakdale (Minn.) Public Works Department and coaches varsity softball at Mahtomedi High School.
