The only four-time javelin throw champion in North Central Conference history, he won titles from 1989 to 1992 during an unprecedented run by the Bison of 17 consecutive javelin championships....Threw conistently over 200 feet in the NCC with a top mark of 211 feet, 8 inches in 1991...Two-time NCAA Division II All-American with an eighth place finish (207-8) in 1990 and a seventh-place finish (201-11) in 1991...North Dakota’s Gatorade Track and Field Athlete of the Year in 1988 at Fargo South High School, where he won two state titles...Youth baseball and basketball coordinator for Moorhead Parks and Recreation before joining Lakes Area Recreation as a youth programmer in 1997 and moved into the program director’s position in 1998.
