Three-time NCAA Division II All-American...Placed seventh in 1998 at 150 pounds and fourth in 1999 at 157 pounds before winning the 2000 national title at 157 pounds...Earned the No. 2 seed for nationals that year and went 26-4 overall including an 11-1 mark in duals and five pins...Finished his career with 11 straight wins following an overtime loss to Western Colorado’s Royce Johnson, who he beat 5-2 in the national championship match...Also won the 2000 North Central Conference championship at 157 pounds and was runner-up in 1999...Four-time conference placewinner overall...Ranked third for NDSU in total wins his freshman year (18-7) and sophomore year (28-11)...Second on the team in wins as a junior (24-8)...Led the team in wins his senior year (26-4)...His career record of 96-30 ranked among the top 10 on NDSU’s all-time win list upon graduation...Member of the 1998 and 2000 NCAA Division II national championship teams for Hall of Fame coach Bucky Maughan...Three-time Division II wrestling all-academic honoree...Recipient of an NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship.
