NDSU Women’s Cross Country 11th in Midwest Region Preseason Rankings

Complete Regional Rankings
FARGO, N.D. – The North Dakota State University women's cross country team will enter the 2016 season ranked No. 11 in the Midwest Region by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
The Bison women were the top-finishing Summit League team at the NCAA Regional meets last November. NDSU returns six of its top seven runners from last season, led by senior Taylor Janssen and sophomores Brittany Brownotter and Emma Kusch Dahle. Also back for the Bison this year are senior Sydney Bork, junior Jenny Guibert and sophomore Kayla Huhnerkoch.
The Midwest regional team rankings include all Division I schools in the nine-state area of Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, South Dakota and North Dakota.
The 2016 cross country season begins Friday, Sept. 2, with the Bison Open at Rose Creek Golf Course in Fargo. The women's four-kilometer race begins at 5 p.m., with the men's six-kilometer race to follow at approximately 5:35.
