Hope Stein Wins NDSU Spring Classic Heptathlon

FARGO, N.D. – North Dakota State's Hope Stein took first place in the heptathlon at the NDSU Spring Classic, which concluded on Monday at the Terrence Dahl and Donna Beres Track Complex on campus.
Stein, a junior from Bismarck, N.D., totaled a personal-best 4,339 points to win the heptathlon. NDSU freshman Kelsey Miller took third with 4,189 points, and Amari Paape was fifth with 4,127.
Stein posted a long jump mark of 17-05.25 (5.31m) on Monday before uncorking a javelin throw of 131-3 (40.02m) to take over the heptathlon lead.
