About Team Makers

MISSION STATEMENT
To support NDSU Athletics by providing student-athletes with the opportunity to reach their full potential academically, athletically, and beyond as they pursue a world class education and compete for championships.
OUR HISTORY
The NDSU Team Makers Club was established in 1950 by a group of local business leaders who recognized the need for a community-based support group to benefit Bison Athletics. Team Makers is a non-profit organization committed to raising scholarship money for student-athletes and assisting them in earning degrees for a successful future.
By investing in Team Makers, you help extend these opportunities to our student-athletes so they may continue to excel in local, regional and national competition. Your annual tax-deductible Team Makers gift is an excellent investment in young people because it allows NDSU student-athletes to compete successfully in the classroom as well as the sports arena.
Applications are accepted throughout the membership year from January 1 through December 31. Payment can be made by cash, check, credit card, or automatic withdrawal.
EMPLOYEE GIFT MATCHING PROGRAMS
If your company has a matching gift program for intercollegiate athletics, you may have the opportunity to double the value of your Team Makers gift at no additional cost to you. Employers may match your contribution to our scholarship fund dollar-for-dollar, which will further multiply your gift. Please contact your employer’s human resources department or the Bison Ticket Office for more information at 1-888-231-NDSU.
Important Tax Information About Gifts to Athletics
For federal income tax purposes, a charitable contribution is generally allowed for amounts contributed in excess of the fair market value of any benefits or privileges received. However, certain limitations apply and special rules are applicable to contributions, which entitle the contributor to purchase tickets to athletic events. All contributions to Team Makers are subject to these special rules. Please contact your personal tax adviser concerning the proper treatment of your contributions. Beginning in 2018, if you choose to participate in priority seating, your donation is not tax-deductible. If you prefer not to participate in priority seating, 100% of your gift is tax-deductible.
Federal Tax ID: 45-6014085
