FARGO, N.D. -- While good weather is hard to come by this time of year in Fargo, the warm days of October have given a chance for the NDSU softball team to get some work in.
The Bison have played four exhibition games during the fall season, preparing a team with seven newcomers for a tough 55-game schedule next spring.
Four teams -- UCLA, Florida, Georgia and Missouri -- that advanced to the 2010 College World Series in Oklahoma City including the defending national champion Bruins highlight the 2011 regular season schedule for the two-time Summit League tournament champions.
It's the third straight season the Bison have played the defending NCAA national champion (Arizona State in 2009, Washington in 2010). There are a dozen teams on the NDSU schedule that advanced to last year's NCAA tournament.
