NDSU Concludes Non-Conference Play Hosting Jamestown

THIS WEEK
North Dakota State (3-6) is set to wrap up non-conference play on Sunday afternoon hosting Jamestown (9-4, 4-3 GPAC). Tip-off is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. at Scheels Center.

Reneya Hopkins matched a career-high 15 points as North Dakota State fell short at Wyoming, 71-45, on Sunday afternoon at Arena-Auditorium.
Hopkins (15) and Heaven Hamling (10) both reached double digits in scoring. The Bison shot 76.9 percent (10-13) from the free throw line and 28.8 percent (15-52) from the field. Wyoming drained 11 three pointers in comparison to NDSU's five. NDSU also collected 38 rebounds with Emily Behnke leading the way with a team-high six.
HAMLING HEATS UP
Heaven Hamling has registered double figures in scoring in each of her last five games, which is the longest double figure scoring streak of her career. Over that span, she is averaging 15.0 points per game and is shooting 56.3 percent (27-48) from the field, 50 percent (11-22) from three and 83.3 percent (10-12) from the free throw line.
HOPKINS PROVIDES THE SPARK
Reneya Hopkins logged her second double figure scoring performance and matched a career-high 15 points at Wyoming last week. She connected on a career-best four triples on nine attempts and also matched a career-high three steals.
THE GRAND RAPIDS CONNECTION
Heaven Hamling and Jamestown forward Hannah DeMars are both natives of Grand Rapids, Minn. They were high school teammates together at Grand Rapids High School and helped lead their team to a third place finish at the 2018 Minnesota State tournament.
OVERCOMING SLOW STARTS
NDSU has been outscored in the first quarter this season, 147-110. However, the Bison have bounced back and outscored their opponents a combined 462-445 over the final three quarters.
LINEUP ADJUSTMENTS
The Bison have only used three different starting lineup combinations this season. Last week at Wyoming, NDSU used its third combination of the season after Katie Hildebrandt entered the lineup and made her first career start.
SCOUTING JAMESTOWN
Jamestown enters the weekend with a 9-4 (4-3 GPAC) overall record and have won their last five games. The Jimmies will face Dickinson State on Friday night before wrapping up the week against NDSU. Hannah DeMars (13.8) and Kia Tower (11.8) lead Jamestown and are both averaging double figures in scoring.
THE SERIES VS. JAMESTOWN
This will mark the 11th all-time meeting between NDSU and Jamestown in a series that dates back to 1978. NDSU leads the series, 10-0, and won the most recent matchup in 2007, 53-31, in Fargo.
