SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – North Dakota State softball's Jessica Delatorre and Jocelyn McClary were named the Summit League Kwik Star Peak Performer and Pitcher of the Week, respectively, sweeping the honors following last weekend's sweep of South Dakota.
Delatorre was one of the leaders for the Bison offensively at South Dakota, hitting a pair of home runs, including a game-tying solo homer in game three of the series to help NDSU rally to earn the sweep. Delatorre finished 4-for-11 with five RBI, six runs scored and a 1.371 slugging percentage.
McClary led the Bison in the circle with a pair of complete-game victories, allowing just three earned runs and a 1.50 era. McClary had six strikeouts and just four hits allowed in the 4-1 win in the series opener on Friday. The freshman then came back and recorded three more strikeouts and allowed just two earned in the win to secure the sweep.
It is the third Summit League Peak Pitch honor for McClary this season and the second time the freshman has been a part of a Bison sweep of the accolades, as she joined Bella Dean to sweep the honors following opening weekend.
Delatorre earns her first career Summit League Peak Performer honor.
NDSU has earned six peak performer/pitcher accolades this season, with McClary and Delatorre being joined by Dean and Madison Wihlm as winners of the awards.
