NDSU Men’s Golf Places Two on Summit League Academic All-League Team

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – North Dakota State men's golfers Rylin Petry and Gabe Benson have been selected to the 2026 Summit League Men's Golf Academic All-League Team, announced the league office Thursday afternoon.
Petry is named to the Academic All-League Team for the third time in his career, while Benson has been named to the team for the first time, following their academics in the classroom and performances on the course during the 2025-26 golf season.
Petry was named to the All-Summit League First Team this season for the second time in his career, while Benson was instrumental in the Bison claiming the Summit League Championship in early May with a sixth-place finish.
To be eligible for the Academic All-League team, a student-athlete must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.30 (on a 4.0 scale), completed at least one full academic year at the current institution and participated in 50 percent of his team's competitions.
Nominations are brought forth by sports information directors from the league's eleven institutions and voting is conducted by both the SIDs and facility athletic representatives (FARs). The team is made up of the five student-athletes receiving the most votes with all ties standing.
