FARGO, N.D. – North Dakota State women's basketball head coach Jory Collins has announced the resignation of associate head coach Dylan Geissert as he is set to pursue other coaching opportunities.
Geissert recently finished his seventh season at NDSU after joining the staff in 2019 as an assistant coach. He was later elevated to recruiting coordinator in 2021 and the associate head coach in 2023.
"Dylan has been instrumental in building our program into a championship contender," said Collins. "He's had a hand in all areas of our program and has been a major contributor to our success. He will be missed, but we're super excited for him and Taylor and their next opportunity."
Over his seven seasons at NDSU, Geissert helped the Bison to their first-ever Summit League regular season title in 2026 along with the only appearances in the Summit League Tournament championship game in program history in 2024 and 2026. He has also been a part of extended postseason runs each of the last four seasons after NDSU made its debut in the Women's Basketball Invitation Tournament (WBIT) in 2026 as a top seed and advanced to the second round. The Bison also made three straight appearances in the Women's National Invitational Tournament (WNIT) from 2023-25, including advancing to the 2025 Great 8 round.
"I first want to thank Jory Collins for giving me the opportunity to start my coaching career here at NDSU," said Geissert. "His support and encouragement have played a huge part in my development as a coach and person. I will truly miss NDSU, our players, the coaching staff, and the Fargo-Moorhead community. I am incredibly proud of what our staff and players have accomplished during my time with NDSU and I will forever be proud to be a part of Bison Nation."
Geissert began his coaching career as a student assistant under Collins at Emporia State from 2014-17 before his stint as a graduate manager at Kansas from 2017-19.
