FARGO, N.D. – North Dakota State women's basketball head coach Jory Collins has announced the addition of Elena Lazarevic to the 2026 signing class.
Lazarevic joins the Bison after playing in the Serbian Women's League in Slovenia.
"We're excited to add Elena to the Bison family," said Collins. "She has a ton of high-level experience and maturity at 21 years old. She is a versatile wing player who can create for herself and her teammates. Her best quality is probably her basketball IQ, she has a tremendous feel for the game. I expect Elena to be an important addition to an already veteran team."
Lazarevic played last season with Radnicki Beograd in the Serbian Women's League. Prior to that, she was in the Slovenia Women's League and a member of the Slovenia National Team. Lazarevic was a representative of Slovenia for the FIBA U17 Women's Basketball World Cup and the FIBA U20 Women's Eurobasket Teams.
Lazarevic joins Liza Trenbeath, Madelyn Muniz and Georgia Ell in the class.
NDSU posted its third straight 20-win season with a 29-5 overall record last season. The Bison won their first Summit League regular season title in program history and played in a postseason tournament for the fourth straight season after making their debut as a top seed in the Women's Basketball Invitation Tournament (WBIT).
