Wes Offerman

Wes Offerman joined the North Dakota State University athletic communications office in August 2012, was promoted to assistant director in 2014, and to associate director in 2021. In 2024, he was named the athletic department's Director of Creative Communications & Strategy, overseeing the creative content efforts and strategic social media presence of the Bison.

Offerman is the media contact for the Bison men's basketball, track & field and cross country programs.

In his 12 years of service to NDSU, Offerman has directed communications, media relations, and social media efforts for the Bison volleyball, wrestling and soccer programs in addition to his current roles with men's basketball, men's and women's track & field, and men's and women's cross country. He contributed greatly to the growth of the NDSU athletic department's presence on Twitter, specifically for the Bison football program from 2013-18.

In 2019, he was named the national recipient of the USTFCCCA Excellence in Communications Award for all of Division I track & field. Other highlights of his tenure include four Summit League champion men's basketball squads and NCAA Tournament berths, as well as publicity efforts for more than two dozen conference team championships in track & field and cross country.

Prior to joining NDSU, Offerman spent three years in the University of Northern Iowa athletic communications office. He served as the contact for UNI football, women's basketball, track and field, cross country and soccer as a graduate assistant from 2010-12.  As a student assistant in 2009-10, Offerman covered the UNI men's and women's golf teams while assisting in the publicity efforts of various UNI programs, including the Panthers' Sweet 16 men's basketball squad in 2010.

Offerman also spent three years performing official scoring duties and game day media relations for the Waterloo Bucks, a summer collegiate baseball team in the Northwoods League. In the summer of 2009, he served an internship for the Burlington Bees of the Class-A Midwest League.

As an undergrad at Northern Iowa, Offerman ran four years of collegiate track for the Division 4 National Champions track club (D4NC).
