Terrence Dahl and Donna Beres Track Complex

LOCATION
1701 15th Ave. N.
Fargo, ND 58102

The Terrence Dahl and Donna Beres Track Complex opened in the fall of 2022 as the new home of North Dakota State University men's and women's outdoor track and field.

The facility was a total reconstruction of the previous outdoor track under the direction of Hellas Construction. The eight-lane, 400-meter track surface features the Hellas EpiQ G4000 Full Pour system. It includes three dual-direction pole vault runways and two dual-direction horizontal jump runways.

Multiple competition areas for the shot put, discus, hammer, javelin and high jump are located inside the oval, with jumps runways on the east side of the track.

The west side of the track is the traditional home straightaway, running from north to south in front of a new grandstand with seating for 2,136 spectators. Official timing and results are displayed on a 25-foot by 13-foot Daktronics video board with an integrated sound system on the south end of the complex.

A press box for meet management provides seating for 10 staff members and media atop the grandstand at the west finish line, and the complex has permanent restrooms and a concession stand at the north end of the grandstand.

The facility replaces Schlanser Track, which served the Bison program from 1997 through 2021. Then featuring nine running lanes, Schlanser Track hosted five North Central Conference championships and three Summit League championships.
