UC Riverside Rallies to Beat North Dakota State, 3-2

MISSOULA, Mont.--UC Riverside rallied from two sets down to defeat North Dakota State 27-29, 22-25, 25-21, 25-21, 15-13 at the University of Montana women's volleyball tournament Friday, Aug. 29.
Sophomore Lauren McLaughlin had a career-high 24 kills and hit .309 to lead four players in double figures for North Dakota State (0-1).
Senior Kristen Hille had 19 kills, freshman Jennifer Lopez had 14, and freshman Chrissy Knuth added 10.
Sophomore libero Abbey Perez led the Bison defense with 29 digs. McLaughlin, Hille and Lopez had 10 digs apiece.
Junior setter Mattie Johnson made 58 assists and Lopez added seven assists.
North Dakota State continues tournament play Saturday, Aug. 30, against Gonzaga at 11:30 a.m. MT and Montana at 8 p.m. MT.
