The North Dakota State women's and men's cross country teams will run at the SDSU Classic in Brookings, S.D., this Friday evening, Sept. 13. The meet begins at 6 p.m. at Edgebrook Golf Course with the women's five-kilometer race, followed by the men's 8k at 6:35 p.m.
This will be the first trip to SDSU for Bison cross country since 2017.
Both the NDSU men and women are coming off runner-up team finishes at the Bison Open on Aug. 30. Junior Kelby Anderson claimed the individual title in the women's race, and junior Alex Bartholomay placed third overall to lead the Bison men.
The Bison men returned five of their top seven runners this year from last season's conference and regional meets with seniors Evan Kottsick and Connor Schank, juniors Bartholomay and Tim Heikkila, and sophomore Keiser Freetly.
The NDSU women returned four of their top five runners from last season with juniors Anderson, Jen Dufner and Brynnan Covington, and sophomore Mikayla Koenig.
