The North Dakota State women's cross country team will run at the Roy Griak Invitational hosted by Minnesota this Saturday, Sept. 28.
The Division I women's six-kilometer race will start at 10:20 a.m. at Les Bolstad Golf Course in Falcon Heights, Minn. The women's competition is expected to feature at least 10 Division I teams, including Columbia, Gonzaga, Northern Iowa, South Dakota State, Southern Utah, UC Riverside, Pacific, San Francisco, NDSU, and host Minnesota.

The Bison women finished 6th out of 14 teams at the Griak last season – the best team finish at the meet in the school's Division I era. Kelby Anderson took third place overall last year, posting the fastest 6k time she had ever run before October.
Anderson, a junior from Bismarck, N.D., has won both races in which the Bison have competed this season. Fellow juniors Jen Dufner and Brynnan Covington have both taken a turn as NDSU's No. 2 runner this year, and senior Alaysia Freetly has been the No. 3 finisher for the Bison at both meets.
