Birch Wins High Jump at Nebraska

LINCOLN, Neb. – The North Dakota State women's track & field team wrapped up competition at the Big Red Classic hosted by Nebraska on Saturday.
Bison junior Arienne Birch won the high jump, clearing 5-10.75 (1.80m). She ranks among the top 25 in the NCAA this season.
Grace VanErp took third place in the triple jump with a mark of 40-02.75 (12.26m). Ella Gardner was fifth at 38-11 (11.86m).
Sophomore Aizlynn Krafka ran a wind-aided 14.47 in the 100m hurdles to finish second.
Adison Kapitzke threw 48-4 (14.73m) in the shot put for 13th place. Elise Magaard finished ninth in the discus with a mark of 140-7 (42.84m).
At the final day of the Bryan Clay Invitational in Azusa, Calif., Reagan Berg clocked a personal-best 4:25.24 in the 1500m to move up to ninth-fastest in school history. Jaelyn Miller ran 4:29.84 for the third-fastest time of her career.
