Box Score INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The North Dakota State soccer team had its four-game winning streak snapped in a 3-1 loss to IUPUI on Friday, Oct. 16. The Bison are now 6-6-2 overall and 3-1 in the Summit League. IUPUI is 12-2 and is now the only unbeaten league team at 4-0.
The Jaguars took an early lead, thanks to a third minute goal from Katrina McCrory. Sophomore Danielle Boldenow recorded the only shot on goal in the half for NDSU.
The Bison got the second half off to a good start. In the 56th minute, senior Lorraine Thompson equalized on a shot from 12 yards out. It was Thompson's third goal of the season. Freshman Brooklyn Dyce assisted on the goal. It was also the first goal that the Jaguars had given up in Summit League play this season.
IUPUI regained the lead in the 74th minute when Alicia Brock scored off an assist from McCrory. The home side put the game away in the 85th minute when Alexandra Baer added a third goal.
The Bison were outshot, 14-8, but held a 4-3 edge in corner kicks. Sophomore goalie Kalani Bertsch made 4 saves in the loss.
NDSU now travels to Macomb, Ill. for a 1 p.m. game against Western Illinois on Sunday, Oct. 18.
