Alcoholic Beverages
Beer and wine sales will be available for purchase throughout the arena and allowed in seating sections 101-117. Beer and wine will not be allowed in Sections 118-124 or 201-208; fans in those sections may purchase beer and wine, but must consume prior to returning to their seats. To purchase or possess alcohol, guests ages 21 and over must wear a valid wristband obtained on game day. A limit of two drinks may be purchased at one time.
Animals
Trained guide dogs or service animals assisting guests with disabilities are permitted inside the arena. All other animals are prohibited.
ATM
Three ATMs are located in the Scheels Center -- one in the south lobby, one in the north lobby, and one in the northeast lower concourse.
Baby Changing Areas
Changing counters are available in all Scheels Center restrooms for patron convenience.
Banners and Signs
Banners are allowed in the arena for some events, however, they may not be hung or fastened anywhere in the Scheels Center. Signs larger than legal paper size, on a stick or with inappropriate language or images are strictly prohibited.
Children Lap Seat Policy
Children under the age of 3 do not need a ticket, but must sit on the lap of a ticketed patron. All patrons 3 years and older need a ticket to enter the arena.
Concession Stands
Scheels Center has two concession stands on the north and east lower concourses, plus several food carts in the northeast and southeast upper corners. A wide variety of food is available including Cloverdale Meats hot dogs, bratwursts and polish sausages, Dippin' Dots, Taco Shop, Perfectly Nuts, Fargo Fillies, and Mac Daddy's Gourmet Mac & Cheese. Guests are not permitted to bring outside food or beverages.
COVID-19
There are no seating capacity restrictions in the Scheels Center for the 2021-22Â season. Fans are strongly encouraged to wear masks over their nose and mouth when not eating or drinking, but masks or proof of vaccination are not required for attendance.
Doors Open
The Scheels Center seating area opens to fans 1 hour before game time. The Bison Ticket Office is open 1 hour before game time and remains open through halftime.
Elevator
An elevator is available behind Section 117 on the east side for access to the upper concourse above Sections 106-124. An additional elevator is available in the south lobby past the Tharaldson Hall of Fame for seating in Sections 201-208.
Emergency Evacuation
Designated Scheels Center ushers have been trained in proper procedures for emergency preparedness. These designated employees will have the primary duty of assisting patrons with disabilities to specific locations.
Entrances
Game day entrances are available on the north and south ends of the Sanford Health Athletic Complex off of 17th Avenue and 16th Avenue North. Â Will call is available at either entrance, as determined at the time of purchase. On non-game days, the athletic department offices are accessible through the south entrance only.
First Aid
An EMT will be present for each home game inside the Scheels Center. Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) are available on the southwest lower level next to Section 102, and on the west upper level behind Section 201.
Guest Conduct
North Dakota State University is committed to providing an exciting, family atmosphere in the Scheels Center at the Sanford Health Athletic Complex. Guests using foul language, inappropriate behavior or appearing to be intoxicated will be escorted from the arena. Guests wearing obscene or explicit clothing with be denied entry. The use of laser pointers is strictly prohibited and will result in ejection. If someone is interfering with your enjoyment of the event, please contact a Scheels Center event staff member.Â
Hotels
When possible, fans are encouraged to stay at hotels that are members of the NDSU
Team Makers Hospitality Program.
Lost & Found
If an item is lost during an event, please see the nearest usher for assistance. If you realize you have lost something after an event, please call the NDSU athletic department at (701) 231-8981 during regular business hours to check if the item was recovered.
Merchandise
The
NDSU Bookstore is the official game day merchandise vendor for NDSU basketball. Visit the NDSU Bookstore on the concourse during game day or in the Memorial Union during regular business hours.
Outside Vending
Outside food and beverages are prohibited inside the facility.Â
Parking
Public parking is available on campus weekdays after 4:30 p.m. and all day on weekends and holidays in the RF lot south of the Sanford Health Athletic Complex, and in the R lot south and west of Dacotah Field.
Parking on campus streets is prohibited at all times. Additional free parking is available in Fargodome lot C north of the Sanford Health Athletic Complex, but a $5 charge applies during Fargodome events. Lot F adjacent to the SHAC is reserved for team personnel and media. On non-game days, 30-minute parking is available outside the south entrance of the Sanford Health Athletic Complex.
Photography
Flash photography is not permitted in Scheels Center. Only credentialed media are permitted to photograph from the main floor.
Programs
A free digital game program is available on
GoBison.com/publications. Free roster cards are available for pickup inside the arena entrances.
Prohibited Items
In the interest of guest safety and enjoyment, the North Dakota State University reserves the right to prevent certain items from being carried into the Scheels Center. These include, but are not limited to:
- Alcohol, drugs, illegal substances or any paraphernalia associated with drug use
- Audio/video recorders, professional cameras, tripods
- Bags larger than 13" x 13"
- Drones
- Electronic cigarettes/vape pens inside facility
- Fireworks/open flames
- Flags/signs with poles
- iPads and similar tablet devices used for photos/videos
- Laser pens/pointers of any type
- Noisemakers such as air horns
- Outside food or beverages
- Oversized bags, backpacks, duffel bag
- Pepper spray/Mace
- Remote or motorized controlled vehicles
- Selfie stick
- Weapons of any type, including chains, knives, firearms and spiked jewelry (including permit to carry)
- Any other item deemed unacceptable by NDSU Athletics or event management
If an item is revealed during a search, patrons may dispose of the item or they may return the item to their vehicle. Scheels Center does not safeguard any personal belongings or items of any type.
Public Address Announcements
No special announcements are made over the public address system, except in emergency cases. If an emergency does arise, please see the nearest usher for assistance.

Men's basketball games can be heard on 107.9 The Fox, Bison 1660 and 92.7 FM, and women's basketball games can be heard on Bison 1660 and 92.7 FM. Re-Entry
There is no re-entry into the Scheels Center.
Restaurants
Fans are encouraged to patronize the many restaurants that are members of the NDSU
Team Makers Hospitality Program.
Restrooms
Men's and women's restrooms are located on both ends of Scheels Center on both the upper and lower levels. A family restroom is available in the southeast corner behind Section 119.
Seating Chart
Reserved seating is available in Sections 101-119 and 203-206. General admission seating is available in Sections 120-121 (benches) and Sections 201-202 and 207-208 (chairbacks). Season tickets require a per-seat ticket cost and donation to Team Makers. Refer to the

Smoking
NDSU policy section 153 prohibits smoking on North Dakota State University grounds and in university buildings including the Sanford Health Athletic Complex and its parking lots by faculty, staff, students and visitors to NDSU. For the purpose of this policy, "smoking" is defined as inhaling, exhaling, burning, or carrying any lighted or heated cigar, cigarette, pipe, or any other lighted or heated tobacco or plant product intended for inhalation, in any manner or in any form. Smoking also includes the use of an e-cigarette which creates a vapor, in any manner or any form, or the use of any oral smoking device for the purpose of circumventing the prohibition of smoking in this policy.

Student Section
NDSU students receive free admission to Bison men's basketball, women's basketball and wrestling at the Scheels Center. Seating is general admission in Sections 122-123 and in Section 124 above the NDSU pep band.
Tailgating
Tailgating is not permitted on any North Dakota State University grounds at any time.
Team Benches
For basketball games, the NDSU bench is located on the east side in front of Section 116, and the visiting team bench is in front of Section 114. For wrestling duals, the NDSU bench is located on the north half of the arena floor and the visiting team is on the south half of the floor.
Television
WDAY Xtra broadcasts men's and women's basketball home games and select wrestling duals statewide in North Dakota. WDAY Xtra can be found over the air on WDAY channel 6-3 in Fargo, WDAZ channel 8-3 in Grand Forks, KBMY channel 17-3 in Bismarck and Dickinson and KMCY channel 14-3 in Minot and Williston. Live video streams for basketball are available by subscribing to

Ticket Scalping
This is prohibited on North Dakota State University premises. It is strongly recommended that fans do not purchase tickets from unknown third parties.

Water Fountains
Drinking fountains are available near the restrooms on the north and south ends of the Scheels Center, and on the west side near Sections 101 and 105.
Will Call
Will call pickup is available in the north and south lobbies of the Sanford Health Athletic Complex, as determined at the time of purchase. Ticket windows open 1 hour prior to game time. Team pass list will only be available on the north end.
