Bison Continue Summit League Play at Omaha, South Dakota this Week       The North Dakota State women's soccer team will continue Summit League play Friday, Oct. 10, at Omaha, and Sunday, Oct. 12, at South Dakota. Friday's match against the Omaha Mavericks is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. while Sunday's tilt with the Coyotes of South Dakota is slated to start at 1 p.m.

The Series against OmahaFriday's Summit League contest at Omaha will mark the ninth meeting between the Bison and the Mavs in the all-time series ... The Bison lead the series, 5-3-0 ... Last season NDSU defeated the Mavs in Fargo, 2-1, in overtime on

NDSU Tabbed Third in Summit League Preseason Poll       The North Dakota State University women's soccer team was picked to finish third in The Summit League's preseason poll. Reigning league champion Denver was selected as the preseason favorite in a vote of the league's nine head coaches. South Dakota State was second followed by the Bison at third. Oral Roberts was fourth followed by Western Illinois at fifth and Fort Wayne at sixth. IUPUI, Omaha and South Dakota rounded out the poll at seventh, eighth and ninth.

Head Coach Mark Cook         Â
Mark Cook is entering his third season at the helm of the North Dakota State soccer program after being named head coach on Jan. 25, 2012. He is the fourth head coach in the 17-year history of the program.
       Last season, Cook led NDSU to an overall record of 9-10 and a third place finish in The Summit League with a record of 4-3. The Bison advanced to The Summit League tournament championship match with a 2-1 upset win over South Dakota State before falling to Denver to finish runner-up in the event. It was NDSU's fifth straight appearance in the league tournament.
       Cook came to NDSU after serving as the Director of Coaching at the Minnesota Thunder Academy for 11 years, where he grew a four-team program into one of the premier club programs in the Twin Cities with 65 teams in 2012.
       He graduated from Alfred (N.Y.) University in 1993 with a bachelor's degree in communications. He was the starting goalkeeper at Alfred for two years.

The Opposing CoachesDon Klosterman - Omaha       Don Klosterman enters his 16th season at the helm of the UNO women's soccer program in 2014. The only head coach the University of Nebraska Omaha has had, Klosterman has a 204-85-14 (.696) all-time record. The two-time national coach of the year led the Mavericks to the Division II national semifinals four times, culminating in the 2005 NCAA Division II national championship.
       Klosterman was chosen as UNO's first women's soccer coach in 1998, a year before the team played its first game, after coaching men's soccer for 20 years in high school and college.
       Klosterman is a graduate of Christian Brothers High School in St. Louis and went on to earn his bachelor's degree from Benedictine (Kan.) College in 1974 and his master's in physical education from UNO in 1985.

Mandy Green - South Dakota       Mandy Green is in her fifth season as South Dakota's head women's soccer coach. She was named to the position on March 30, 2010.
       Green spent the 2009 season as an assistant coach on the Xavier University coaching staff, where she was involved in game and practice planning, recruiting and working on the individual development of each athlete.
       Prior to coaching at Xavier, Green was an assistant coach at Minnesota State University, Mankato from 2003-08 and helped build the Maverick program into a Division II power.
       Green coached at the University of Utah from 1999-2003, and served as the program's interim head coach for three months starting in Nov. 2001.
       Green is a 1999 graduate of Macalester College in St. Paul, Minn., with a bachelor's degree in psychology. She earned a master's degree in sports psychology from the University of Utah in 2006.
