NDSU Travels to UC Davis, Pacific for Pair of Matches Friday and SundayAfter rolling to a 9-0 triumph in its 2015 regular season home opener last Friday, the North Dakota State University women's soccer team will travel to California for a pair of non-league matches against UC Davis and Pacific. The Bison will battle UC Davis at 2 p.m. PT (4 p.m. CT) Friday, Sept. 4, before taking on Pacific at 7 p.m. PT (9 p.m. CT) Sunday, Sept. 6.

About UC Davis- UC Davis enters Friday's match with an overall record of 3-1 after defeating Eastern Washington, 3-0, in Portland, Ore., Aug. 30. The Aggies are riding a three-match winning streak, with their lone loss coming against Santa Clara on Aug. 21.
- UC Davis was picked to finish ninth out of nine teams in the 2015 Big West Conference Women's Soccer Preseason Coaches Poll.
- Last season, the Aggies compiled a 5-11-3 overall record and finished seventh in Big West Conference play with a mark of 2-4-2.
- Through four matches, UC Davis is led offensively by Rachel Smith (2 G, 4 pts., 14 sh., 7 SOG, 2 GW) and Sienna Drizin (2 G, 4 pts.), while Celina Minissian and Riley Marshall have each contributed one goal for two points.

- Pacific was picked to finish 10th out of 10 teams in the 2015 West Coast Conference Women's Soccer Preseason Coaches Poll.
- Last season, the Tigers compiled an overall record of 2-16-1 and finished 10th in the WCC with a record of 0-9-0.
- After four matches, Pacific is paced offensively by Courtney Callister (1 G, 2 pts., 1 GW) and Hannah Stammer (1 G, 2 pts.).
- Goalkeeper Regan Heslop has started two of four matches in goal for the Tigers, posting a 1-1 overall record with one shutout. She has 17 saves but has allowed six goals for a GAA of 3.00.

Herd Quick Hits- NDSU enters Friday's match at UC Davis with an overall record of 1-2-0 after coasting to a 9-0 win over St. Cloud State on Friday, Aug. 28, in the 2015 regular season home opener at Dacotah Field.Â
- In the match against St. Cloud State, junior forward Lauren Miller netted a hat-trick, tallying goals in the 35th, 36th and 48th minutes, while also dishing out an assist ... Six other Bison netted goals in the match (Britney Monteon 26', Tori Veth 30', Holly Enderle 42', Amy Yang 54', Mallory Fenske 69', Sam Verbeke 83') ... Yang dished out three assists in the match, while Olivia Norman tallied two assists and Hannah Butzlaff, Meghan Johnston and Enderle each posted on assist.  Â
- The nine goals were the most goals scored in a single match since NDSU defeated Centenary, 9-0, in 2010.
- The Bison welcome back eight starters and 13 letterwinners from last season's team, including All-Summit League performers in Sierra Bonham, Lauren Miller, Meghan Johnston and Amy Yang.
- NDSU welcomes seven newcomers in freshmen Hanna Norman (D), Roxy Roemer (MF), Holly Enderle (F), Mallory Fenske (D), Taylor Turner (D) and Britney Monteon (F), and transfer Julia Edelstein (GK).

Rewinding to 2014- The Bison compiled an overall record of 8-8-2 and a Summit League mark of 4-2-2 last season, finishing fourth in the league.
- NDSU qualified for The Summit League Women's Soccer Championship for the sixth consecutive season.
- The Bison had five student-athletes named All-Summit League, including Sierra Bonham, who was named the league's Goalkeeper of the Year after compiling a 0.94 goals-against average with 5.1 shutouts and a .827 save percentage. Bonham was the first-ever NDSU student-athlete to earn the honor.
- Bonham as well as Lauren Miller were selected to the All-Summit League first team, while Meghan Johnston, Anisha Kinnarath and Amy Yang were named second team all-league.
- Miller led the team in goals (9), points (19), shots on goal (23) and game-winning goals (5), while Yang dished out a team-high five assists.
- NDSU averaged 1.22 goals per game and netted 22 goals on 196 shot attempts.

Miller Named Summit League Offensive Player of the WeekNorth Dakota State University forward
Lauren Miller was named Summit League Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for her performance Aug. 24-30.
Miller, a junior from Saint Louis Park, Minn., collects her fifth career Offensive Player of the Week award, tying for third-most in Summit League history, after scoring three goals and dishing out an assist in NDSU's 9-0 thumping of St. Cloud State on Friday, Aug. 28, at Dacotah Field. The hat-trick was the league's first since Sept., 2014.
Miller tallied her first goal of the night in the 35th-minute, before netting her second a little over a minute later. The junior completed the hat-trick with a goal in the 48th-minute.Â
Through three matches, Miller leads The Summit League in goals (4) and points (9).

Lauren Miller netted a hat-trick and six other Bison found the back of the net to help the North Dakota State University women's soccer team (1-2-0) coast to a 9-0 shutout win over the St. Cloud State University Huskies on Friday, Aug. 28, in front of 221 spectators at Dacotah Field.
The nine goals were the most goals scored in a single match since 2010 when the Bison defeated Centenary, 9-0.
Miller, a forward from Saint Louis Park, Minn., opened her scoring account in the 35th-minute, netting her first goal on a low shot to the center of the net off a pass from
Olivia Norman. One minute later, she tallied goal number two after she controlled a pass from
Amy Yang and directed it into the far right corner of the goal. The junior completed the hat-trick with a goal in the 48th-minute, scoring on another feed from Yang. Miller now has a team-high four goals on the season.
Freshman
Britney Monteon gave the Bison a 1-0 lead in the 26th-minute when she corralled a pass from
Olivia Norman and fired it into the left corner of the net. It was the first goal of Monteon's collegiate career. Redshirt-junior
Tori Veth made it 2-0 Bison after she headed in a corner kick from Yang four minutes later. The goal was the first of her career.
After Miller's pair of goals extended NDSU's lead to 4-0, freshman
Holly Enderle netted the opening goal of her collegiate career, scoring off a rebound from
Hannah Butzlaff's corner kick in the 42nd-minute, making it 5-0, Bison.
Miller increased North Dakota State's advantage to 6-0 with her third goal at the start of the second-half before dishing out an assist on a goal from Yang that ballooned the NDSU lead to 7-0 in the 54th-minute.
Freshman
Mallory Fenske captured the first goal of her collegiate career in the 69th-minute, making it 8-0 NDSU when she scored on pass from
Meghan Johnston. Sophomore
Sam Verbeke closed out the North Dakota State offensive attack, netting the ninth goal of the match in the 83rd-minute on a feed from Enderle.
Senior goalkeeper
Sierra Bonham picked up the win between the pipes after playing the full 90 minutes and making four saves to improve to 1-2-0 in goal.
The Bison outshot SCSU, 20-7, and tallied a 9-2 edge in corner kicks.Â

Head Coach Mark CookMark Cook is in his fourth season at the helm of the North Dakota State soccer program after being named head coach in 2012. He is the fourth head coach in the 20-year history of the program.
Last season, Cook led the Bison to an 8-8-2 overall record and a fourth place finish in The Summit League with a league mark of 4-2-2. North Dakota State made its sixth consecutive appearance in The Summit League tournament and had five student-athletes named All-Summit League, including goalkeeper
Sierra Bonham, who was named the league's Goalkeeper of the Year after compiling a 0.94 goals-against average with 5.1 shutouts and a save percentage of .827. Bonham was the first-ever NDSU student-athlete to earn the honor.
Cook came to NDSU after serving as the Director of Coaching at the Minnesota Thunder Academy for 11 years, where he grew a four-team program into one of the premier club programs in the Twin Cities with 65 teams in 2012.
Cook holds the United States Soccer Federation 'A' coaching license, the highest certification available in the U.S. He also has the NSCAA Premier License and Director of Coaching Diploma.
 He graduated from Alfred (N.Y.) University in 1993 with a bachelor's degree in communications. He was the starting goalkeeper at Alfred for two years.
