LINCOLN, Neb. – The North Dakota State University women's soccer team fell at Nebraska, 4-0, on Saturday, Aug. 13, in an exhibition match at Hibner Stadium in front of 580 spectators.
The Bison are scheduled to open the 2016 regular season against Drake on Friday, Aug. 19, at 7 p.m. at Dacotah Field.
The Huskers scored goals in the 29th, 37th, 58th and 61st minutes and held North Dakota State scoreless the full 90 minutes to earn the victory.
Sophomore
Holly Enderle and freshman
Mariah Haberle each tallied a shot on goal to lead NDSU.
Nebraska outshot North Dakota State in the match, 16-6, and tallied a 7-1 advantage in corner kicks taken.
Bison freshman goalkeeper
Monica Polgar made a match-high five saves, but allowed all four goals to suffer the loss in-goal.
Forward Jaycie Johnson netted two goals with three shots on goal to lead the Huskers in the match.
