The North Dakota State Bison women's soccer team (2-3-0) will travel to Waipahu, Hawaii, to play a pair of games in the Rainbow Wahine Shootout this week. The Bison take on the Grand Canyon University Antelopes (3-7-0) on Thursday, Sept. 20, at 7 p.m. Hawaiian time / midnight CT. NDSU plays host Hawaii (3-3-1) at Waipio Peninsula Soccer Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 22, at 2 p.m. Hawaiian time / 7 p.m. CT.

The Series with Grand Canyon
Thursday's match will be the second meeting all-time between the Bison and the Lopes, with NDSU holding a 1-0-0 advantage in the series -- a 2-1 win in Flagstaff, Ariz., on Sept. 20, 2015.

The Series with Hawaii
Saturday's match will mark the second meeting in the all-time series between NDSU and Hawaii. The Bison lead the series 1-0-0, earning a 3-2 win in Waipahu on Aug. 27, 2011.

North Dakota State Notes
- NDSU's Brookelyn Dew was named the Summit League Offensive Player of the Week on Sept. 10. The Fargo Shanley HS product was instrumental in NDSU's bounce-back victory over Northern Iowa. She assisted on the first goal of the match to put NDSU up 1-0, then scored the game-winner in the 88th minute to lift the Bison to a key win over a Missouri Valley Conference opponent. Dew's goal was her first of the season and second of her career.
- Bison sophomore Laura Powell scored her first collegiate goal in the 39th minute vs. UNI on Sept. 9.
- NDSU's average of 13.0 shots per game ranks fourth in The Summit League this season.
- Junior Mariah Haberle has a team-best four points after tallying an assist vs. Northern Iowa on Sept. 9. She also leads the team in shots (17) and shots on goal (9).
- NDSU had two of its first three matches this season canceled due to weather -- Aug. 16 at Wisconsin, and Aug. 26 vs. Weber State in Fargo.
- Sophomore midfielder Danielle Algera and junior goalkeeper Monica Polgar have played every minute of every regular season match this year.Â

About Grand Canyon
- The Lopes enter the weekend with a record of 3-7-0 this season, going 3-1 at home and 0-6 on the road. GCU has won its last two games, earning a 4-1 win over Portland State and a 2-1 victory over Cal State Fullerton last week.
- Six different Lopes have scored goals this season, led by senior forward McKenzie Cook with four goals in 10 games. Cook also leads GCU with 40 total shots and 20 shots on goal.
- Senior defender Kelsey Smith has tallied four assists this season to lead Grand Canyon in that category.
- Senior goalkeeper Abby Burton has played every minute of the season in goal for the Lopes, allowing an average of 1.26 goals per game.
- GCU was picked to finish fourth in the WAC preseason poll this year after going 6-13-2 last season.

About Hawaii
- The Rainbow Wahine enter the weekend with a record of 3-3-1 this year, going 1-2 at home and 2-1-1 on the road. Hawaii is winless since Sept. 2, dropping matches to UC San Diego (2-1) and San Francisco (2-0), and tying Nevada (1-1) since then.
- Senior midfielder Raisa Strom-Okimoto and sophomore midfielder Leialoha Medeiros have both scored three goals to lead Hawaii this year. Strom-Okimoto tops the Rainbow Wahine with 25 total shots and 13 shots on goal.
- Junior goalkeeper Alexis Mata has played every minute in goal for the Rainbow Wahine this season, allowing an average of 1.36 goals per game.
- Hawaii was voted ninth in the nine-team Big West Conference preseason poll after posting a record of 6-10-1 last year.
