The Series with Northern Iowa

North Dakota State Notes

  • NDSU's goals against average of 1.00 ranks fourth in The Summit League this season.
  • NDSU had two of its first three matches this season canceled due to weather -- Aug. 16 at Wisconsin, and Aug. 26 vs. Weber State in Fargo.
  • The season-opening win over Green Bay on Aug. 19 marked the first NDSU victory in a season opener since 2014, when the Bison claimed a 1-0 win over North Dakota.
  • The four goals at Green Bay were the most NDSU goals in a season opener since the Bison netted four goals in a 4-3 triumph over UND in the 2010 season opener.

  • Sophomore midfielder Danielle Algera and junior goalkeeper Monica Polgar have played every minute of every regular season match this year.

  • The Bison welcome back 10 starters, including three all-league honorees in Malley O'Brien (first team), Hanna Norman (second team) and Danielle Algera (freshmen team), and goalkeeper Monica Polgar, who ranked second in The Summit League with six shutouts.
  • NDSU has seven newcomers entering 2018, including six freshmen and one transfer. The freshmen are Aly Cole (GK), Claire Grazzini (GK), DeAnna LeMire (MF), Lauryn Roszak (MF), Sydney Johnson (F) and Dani Stuber (D), while the transfer is Lauren Featherstone (RFr., D/MF, Central Connecticut State).
