LINCOLN, Neb. – The North Dakota State University men's track & field team established a number of nationally ranked performances at the Husker Spring Invitational hosted by Nebraska on Saturday.

National champion thrower Payton Otterdahl extended his NDSU discus record for the third straight meet. He threw 206-6 (62.94m) to win the event, adding more than five feet to his school record and moving up to No. 2 in the NCAA this year. Otterdahl has tacked 11 ½ feet onto his previous school-record mark in the past three weeks.

Freshman Kristoffer Thomsen moved up to third in NDSU history in the outdoor shot put, throwing 62-11.25 (19.18m) for the win on Saturday. He stands at No. 14 on the NCAA performance list this season.

Junior Michael Keogan threw a shot put career-best of 59-08.25 (18.19m) to rank eighth in NDSU history and among the top 40 in the nation this year.

Senior sprinter J.T. Butler moved up to No. 4 all-time at NDSU in the 200m dash, running a lifetime-best 20.94 on Saturday to move into the NCAA's top 30.

Senior Kelle'Mon Hinton moved up to sixth all-time at NDSU in the triple jump, leaping an outdoor personal-best 49-10.00 (15.19m) – also top 40 in the nation this season.

Bison sophomore Noah Shafer cleared a personal-best 16-02.00 (4.93m) in the pole vault, taking third place. It was the best outdoor vault by a Bison in more than five years.

Bison senior Jacob Richter ran a career-best 47.90 in the 400m dash, placing third. Freshman Jacob Rodin clocked a personal-best 48.43.

NDSU's Brendan Artley, Benji Phillips and Ty Ogren finished 1-2-4 in the javelin. Artley won with a throw of 212-10 (64.88m), Phillips was the runner-up at 205-10 (62.74m), and Ogren posted a personal-best mark of 194-10 (59.39m).

Sophomore Marcus Walton cleared an outdoor PR of 6-09.75 (2.08m) in the high jump, as well as going 47-07.25 (14.51m) in the triple jump.

Bison sophomore Alex Brosseau ran a 200m personal-best of 21.62 for fourth place.

Sophomore Connor Wendel won the 400m hurdles in 54.16. Bison freshman Josh Knutson was third in 55.65.

Freshman Beau Brannan placed sixth in the 800m in 1:54.49, and redshirt freshman Kurt TeBeest clocked a personal-best 1:54.68 to take seventh.
