FARGO, N.D. - The North Dakota State women's soccer team closed out exhibition play with a 2-0 victory over Manitoba at Dacotah Field on Monday, Aug. 14.
Olivia Lovick's left-footed strike in the sixth minute put NDSU ahead 1-0, and the Bison scored again in the 42nd minute on an own-goal off
Devon Kavanagh's corner kick.
The teams played three 30-minute periods followed by a penalty kick shootout, which Manitoba won 5-4.

Hannah Stipp and
Payton Mulberry each played one period with Stipp making the only save in regulation time. NDSU outshot Manitoba 12-1.
It was the second of two exhibition games for North Dakota State, which lost 2-0 at Minnesota last Monday, Aug. 7.
The Bison are scheduled to open the regular season hosting Boise State at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 17, at Dacotah Field with live television coverage on WDAY Xtra and the Summit League Network.
