WAIPAHU, Hawaii – North Dakota State soccer picked up a victory over Hawaii Pacific Tuesday evening at Waipi'o Peninsula Soccer Stadium, as the Bison defeated the Sharks 1-0.
After a scoreless first half,
Devon Kavanagh scored the game's only goal in the 61
st minute. Kavanagh's second-career goal is also her second game-winning goal this season, as she sits at two goals and two assists through four games.
The Bison controlled most of the game, outnumbering Hawaii Pacific 14-2 in shots, including not allowing a shot in the second half, while the Bison finished with 11 second-half shots.
Bella Washington picked up the win and the shutout for NDSU in her first start, facing two shots as the Bison picked up their third cleansheet in a row. It is the first time NDSU has kept three consecutive cleansheets since Sept. 9-16, 2022.
North Dakota State will return to action on Thursday, taking on Grand Canyon in the first game of the Outrigger No Ka Oi hosted by Hawaii. Kick off is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. HT/9:30 p.m. CT from Waipi'o Peninsula Soccer Stadium.
