ASHLAND, Neb. – North Dakota State senior
Reagan Baesler broke the school record for the cross country 6k, as the Bison women placed third at the Summit League Cross Country Championships on Saturday morning at Mahoney State Park.

Baesler claimed third place overall with a time of 20:02.3 for the six-kilometer course, breaking Erin Teschuk's NDSU record from 2015 by four seconds.

The Bison finished with 71 points in the team standings to take third. North Dakota won the team title with 34 points, and South Dakota State was second with 53. NDSU has finished top-three as a team at the Summit League Cross Country Championships 17 straight times since 2009.

Sophomore
Mia Hoffmann was the No. 2 finisher for the Bison, taking eighth place with a time of 20:51.0. Sophomores
Logan Harz (21:15.5) and
Jenna DeBates (21:18.6) placed 18th and 19th, respectively.

Freshman
Kylie Nelson came on strong to finish 24th in 21:30.7, completing the team scoring for the Bison women.

Six NDSU runners recorded personal-best times for the six-kilometer race – Baesler, Hoffmann, Nelson,
Eva Selensky (21:50.1),
Alyson Kleyman (22:01.1), and
Acey Elkins (22:06.1).

Baesler earned All-Summit League first team honors for her top-seven finish, and Hoffmann claimed All-Summit League second team status.

The NDSU women will race next at the NCAA Midwest Regional on Nov. 14 in Stillwater, Okla.
