SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Three North Dakota State University track & field athletes were named Kwik Star Summit League Indoor Peak Performers of the Week, the league announced Tuesday, Dec. 16.

Freshman Kaela Skistad earned the honor for women's track, junior
Adison Kapitzke was recognized for women's field, and freshman Carter Reckelberg claimed the men's field award.

Skistad (Big Lake, Minn. / Monticello HS) is ranked eighth in the NCAA early this indoor season after running 55.94 to win the 400m dash at the Dakota Alumni Classic in her collegiate debut.

Kapitzke (Brooklyn Park, Minn. / Champlin Park HS) threw an indoor personal-best 51-00.25 (15.55m) to win the shot put, ranking 11th in school history and 12th in the nation this season. She also posted a personal-best 57-9 (17.60m) in the weight throw.

Reckelberg (Becker, Minn. / Becker HS) is 12th on the NCAA Division I performance list this season after winning the long jump with a mark of 24-06.25 (7.47m) in his collegiate debut. He now ranks sixth in NDSU indoor history.
