The Course
Boulder Creek Golf Club features three unique 9-hole layouts, nicknamed Desert Hawk, Coyote Run, and El Dorado Valley. At the Clash at Boulder Creek, Desert Hawk is played as the front nine while Coyote Run is played as the back nine. Desert Hawk utilizes stunning water features on the opening and closing holes, and plays as a combination between an oasis and the desert. Hole 1 features a long pond that golfers must carry with their tee shot, while hole 9 has water in range to the right of the tee shot and the left of the approach shot. Coyote Run provides a chance for unique scoring opportunities due to the subtle elevation changes and many arroyos meandering throughout the course. The course features wide and lush fairways for drives, but tricky approach shots with the irons. Hole 8 features a beautiful lake nestled in front of the par 3 green, forcing golfers to not only carry the lake, but the wide bunker that is situated between the water and the putting surface.
