
NDSU Baseball Picks Up Three Academic All-Summit League Selections

SIOUX FALLS. S.D. – The North Dakota State baseball team picked up three Academic All-Summit League selections, the league office announced on Wednesday afternoon.
The Bison tied Northern Colorado with three selections for the most in the Summit League after Colten Becker, Brayden Marks and Parker Puetz each earned a spot.
Becker registered a 4.0 GPA in Business Administration and led the Bison with 28 runs and seven home runs this season. Marks boasts a 4.0 GPA in University Studies and made nine starts this season with 18 strikeouts. Puetz, who was also named to the All-Summit League First Team, posted a 4.0 GPA in Business Administration. He tossed 45 strikeouts across 10 starts before his season was cut short due to injury.
To be eligible for the Academic All-League team, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.30 (on a 4.0 scale), completed at least one full academic year at the current institution and participated in 50 percent of their team's competitions, except pitchers who must have participated in 20 percent of their team's total contests.
Nominations are brought forth by sports information directors from the league's participating members, and voting is conducted by both SIDs and FARs. The teams are made up of ten student-athletes receiving the most votes with all ties standing.
