2023 SEASON (SENIOR): Returned for a fifth year of eligibility due to COVID-19's impact on the 2020 season...Started 13 games at wide receiver...Made at least one reception in all 15 games played...Led the Bison with 46 catches and six touchdowns...Second on the team with 665 receiving yards...Career-high eight catches against Murray State and 160 yards (on six catches) in the win over Missouri State...Tied a career best with two TD catches against Missouri State and South Dakota State...His 53-yard reception at North Dakota was the longest of his career...One of six team captains.

2022 SEASON (SENIOR): Played in all 15 games including 10 starts at wide receiver...NDSU's leading receiver with 35 receptions and 520 yards...Averaged 14.9 yards per catch...Career-high seven receptions and 123 yards in the national championship game against South Dakota State, his first career 100-yard receiving game...Made at least one catch in 12 of 15 games...Had a three-game stretch against Indiana State, South Dakota State and Illinois State with 14 receptions for 171 yards...Second on the team with three receiving touchdowns...Opened the year with TDs in back-to-back home wins over Drake and North Carolina A&T...Caught his third touchdown at Indiana State...Named to the Missouri Valley Football Conference Honor Roll.

2021 SEASON (JUNIOR): Played in 12 of 15 games...Made two starts against South Dakota and Southern Illinois...Had eight receptions for 112 yards...Season-long catch of 26 yards twice against Illinois State and Indiana State...Season-high 30 yards on two catches at South Dakota State...Also made two receptions in the win over South Dakota.

2020-21 SEASON (SOPHOMORE): Played in NDSU's lone game of the fall season...Made one catch for 16 yards in the win over Central Arkansas...Missed the spring season due to injury...Named to the Missouri Valley Football Conference honor roll.

2019 SEASON (FRESHMAN): Played in 9 of 12 regular-season games...Did not appear in the NCAA playoffs...Made five receptions for 79 yards...Made two catches in the season opener against Butler...Longest reception was 41 yards in the home opener against North Dakota.

2018 SEASON (REDSHIRT): Used a redshirt year with the Bison...Played in one game against Southern Illinois, but did not make a catch.

HIGH SCHOOL: 2018 graduate of Berkeley Prep in Tampa...Two-year starter and four-year letterwinner for coach Dominick Ciao...Made 20 catches for 351 yards and five touchdowns his senior year...Part of a state Class 3A state semifinal team as a junior...Invited to the Blue-Grey All-American Game...Honorable mention all-county in football and basketball.

PERSONAL: Graduated from NDSU in December 2022 with a bachelor's degree in psychology...Worked as a production assistant for Bison 1660 radio during the summer of 2022...Son of Marion Mathis and Paula McCarron...Has a sister, Jaslyn, and a brother, Jacob, a tight end who spent two seasons at Ole Miss (2016-17) before playing at South Florida in 2018 and 2019.
