LeDominique “Buddha” Williams was North Dakota State University's defensive ends coach for five seasons from 2017 to 2021. He was part of four Missouri Valley Football Conference championships and four NCAA Division I FCS national titles with the Bison.
Williams helped develop three FCS All-Americans at NDSU, including Greg Menard and Derrek Tuszka, who both finished among the school's top five in career sacks. Tuszka was the Missouri Valley Football Conference Defensive Player of the Year in 2019.
North Dakota State had a school-record 49 sacks in 2021, led by All-American Brayden Thomas with 9.0 sacks, and NDSU posted three of the top four totals in school history in tackles for loss during Williams' tenure.
Williams previously was the defensive line coach at UT Martin in 2016, where he coached two All-Ohio Valley Conference linemen for the Skyhawks, who went 7-5 and finished second in the OVC.
He was a defensive graduate assistant at Illinois in 2014 and 2015, where he helped coach second-round draft pick Jihad Ward, and was a graduate assistant at Ohio in 2012 and 2013 where he worked with the defensive line.
Williams was a defensive graduate assistant and assistant video coordinator at Ashland University in 2011 after spending the 2010 season at the University of Charleston as linebackers coach.
Williams earned bachelor’s degrees from the University of Charleston in business administration and sports administration in 2009. He completed his master’s degree in coaching education at Ohio University in 2013.
He and his wife, Veronica, have two children, Alexis and Dominic.
