2020-21 SEASON (JUNIOR): Member of the Bison football program during the fall semester...No. 3 quarterback on the depth chart for NDSU's only game of the fall against Central Arkansas...Did not play in the 39-28 victory.

2019 SEASON (SOPHOMORE): Competed for the open starting quarterback job in spring and fall camp with Trey Lance and Zeb Noland...Dressed as the No. 3 quarterback all season...Played in two games against Butler and Youngstown State...Completed his only passing attempt of the year for 5 yards to wide receiver Zach Mathis on the final drive of the Butler game...Named to the MVFC Honor Roll and earned the MVFC Commissioner's Academic Excellence Award.

2018 SEASON (FRESHMAN): Dressed as the No. 3 quarterback all season, but appeared in only one contest against Southern Illinois...Did not have any rushing or passing attempts...Named to the MVFC Honor Roll and earned the MVFC Commissioner's Academic Excellence Award. 

2017 SEASON (REDSHIRT): Sat out the season as a redshirt in the Bison program...Made the Missouri Valley Football Conference Honor Roll.

HIGH SCHOOL: 2017 graduate of Apple Valley High School...Three-year letterman and two-year starter under coach Chad Clendening...Team captain his senior year...Went 145 of 275 passing for 1,875 yards and 18 touchdowns his senior year...Averaged 5.0 yards per carry rushing 140 times for 706 yards and nine TDs...Set school single-season records for passing yards and total touchdowns...Team MVP and 2016 all-district selection...Led the Eagles to a 7-4 record, section championship and Class 5A state tournament appearance...Also punted for the football team and is a captain for the baseball team...Honor roll student...Minnesota Vikings Community Captain Award winner.

PERSONAL: Graduated from NDSU in December 2020...Majored in human development and family science with a minor in psychology...Member of the NDSU Student-Athlete Advisory Council...Son of Jason and Heather Sanders...Has one brother, Max.
