FARGO, N.D. – The North Dakota State women's track & field team took first in 11 events at the Bison Classic hosted at the Shelly Ellig Indoor Track & Field Facility on Saturday, Jan. 18.
 
Junior thrower Emily Lesser posted a personal-best mark of 61-09.50 (18.83m) to win the weight throw and move to No. 2 on the NDSU all-time list in the event. Her facility record-breaking performance Saturday ranks among the top 30 in the nation this season.
 
Senior Antoinette Goodman won the 200m dash in 24.90 seconds and also took the long jump title with a leap of 17-11.75 (5.48m). Bison freshman Rose Jackson took first in the 60m dash with a time of 7.84 seconds and was second to Goodman by an inch in the long jump at 17-10.75 (5.45m).
 
Freshman Jenny Guibert won her second individual event in her second career meet, this time claiming the 600m title with a time of 1:35.20 that ranks eighth in school history. Junior Paige Stratioti ran 55.30 to win the 400m dash, edging school record holder Ashley Tingelstad who took second in 55.57.
 
It was the second-fastest indoor 400m of Stratioti's career, and when adjusted for track size, her converted time of 54.58 ranks among the top 10 in the country this season.
 
NDSU senior Caitlin Mack and sophomore Brittany Stangl each cleared 12-05.50 (3.80m) in the pole vault, with Mack taking first place and Stangl taking second on the number of misses. Bison sophomore Lexy Boschee won the high jump with a clearance of 5-05.00 (1.65m).
 
Sophomore Erin Teschuk ran 5:01.34 in the mile for first place, edging junior Maddie McClellan, who took second in 5:02.16.
 
NDSU alum and 2012 Olympian Amanda Smock won the triple jump with a mark of 44-06.75 (13.58m). Unattached Bison senior Deborah John cruised to first place in the 60m hurdles in 8.60 seconds.
 
Tingelstad, Stratioti, Goodman and Ashlynn Simon teamed up to win the 4x400m relay in 3:55.47.
 
NDSU will return to action at the Jack Johnson Classic hosted by the University of Minnesota on Jan. 24-25.
