GRAND FORKS, N.D. – The North Dakota State women's track & field team won its 17th title in 19 years at the Summit League Indoor Championships on Saturday at the Pollard Athletic Center.

The 17th indoor title for the women sets a league record for winningest program in indoor history. Combined with 16 outdoor titles, the NDSU women have now won 33 out of 36 team conference championships in the past 19 years.

The Bison women added five more event titles on the final day of the meet with high finishers in nearly every event to secure the historic team crown. NDSU finished with 177 points, and South Dakota was the runner-up with 143.5 points.

Junior
Arienne Birch defended her high jump title, making it a perfect 5-for-5 in Summit League high jump crowns in her career. Birch cleared a season-best and meet-record 5-10.75 (1.80m) to secure her title.

Anika Larson went 2-for-2 in her events today, claiming both the 60m and 200m titles. The junior ran a personal-best 23.62 in the 200m dash to move to No. 2 all-time at NDSU. Larson also clocked a lifetime-best 7.37 in the 60m dash to rank second in school history.

Freshman sprinter
Paige Renschler claimed runner-up honors in both the 60m and 200m. Â Renschler ran 7.46 in the 60m and a personal-best 23.79 in the 200m dash to climb to No.3 in NDSU indoor history.

Kaela Skistad won the 400m title as a freshman, winning in a personal-best 54.30. She moves up to No. 5 on the NDSU all-time list.
Soraya Espino finished as the runner-up, running a personal-best 54.84.
Reese Rogowski was fourth in 54.97.

Adison Kapitzke claimed the shot put crown, throwing 49-05.00 (15.06m).
Riley Quinn was the runner-up, throwing 48-05.25 (14.76m) to give the Bison women a 1-2 finish.

The Bison women finished 2-3-6-7 in the 60m hurdles, with freshman
Jordyn Davis as the runner-up in a personal-best 8.41.
Rylee Johnson claimed third with a career-best 8.62,
Kate Laqua claimed sixth in 8.74, and
Marvelous Onwualo finished seventh in 8.81.

Kendal Stingle,
Corene Moeller, and
Soraya Espino were the runners-up in the 4x400m relay, running 3:43.00. The relay is the 11th-fastest in NDSU history.

Ella Gardner and
Grace VanErp finished second and third in the triple jump. Gardner jumped 40-00.50 (12.20m) and VanErp went 39-10.00 (12.14m).

Jade Rypkema ran a personal-best 16:44.09 in the 5000m to claim third place. She now moves to No. 5 in NDSU history.

Casidi Pehler cleared 12-10.00 (3.91m) to finish fifth in the pole vault.

Reagan Berg placed eighth in the mile, running a personal-best 4:53.44.
