MINNEAPOLIS – North Dakota State senior sprinter
Ashley Tingelstad won the 200m dash in a personal-best time of 24.52 seconds to lead the Bison women's track & field team on the first day of the Jack Johnson Classic hosted by the University of Minnesota Friday.
Tingelstad's time ranks her fourth in NDSU history in the event. Senior teammate and school record holder
Antoinette Goodman placed second in 24.74, and freshman
Morgan Milbrath was third in 25.21.
Freshman
Rose Jackson took eighth in the long jump with a mark of 17-05.25 (5.31m) and placed 14th in the 200m at 25.78 seconds.
Caitlin Mack and
Anna Benke each cleared 11-10.00 (3.61m) in the pole vault, with Mack placing ninth and Benke 12th. Former Bison All-American
Leslie Brost cleared 13-11.75 (4.26m) tonight for second place.
The Jack Johnson Classic will resume at 10 a.m. Saturday inside the University of Minnesota Fieldhouse.
