Paige Stratioti broke the school record for the third time in 21 days on Saturday afternoon, running the nation's ninth-fastest time at Notre Dame's Alex Wilson Invitational.
The relay squad's record time of 3:34.57 is now an improvement of 6.55 seconds over the previous school record as it appeared on Feb. 1. Today's performance trimmed nearly three seconds off the record of 3:37.42 that Milbrath, Tingelstad, Heinze and Stratioti set one week ago on Feb. 15.
The Bison have put themselves in position to qualify for the NCAA Indoor Championships, ranking ninth on the national performance list. Twelve schools qualify for the NCAA meet, with selections made based purely on the descending order national performance lists on March 3. In each of the past three seasons, the last qualifying time for the NCAA Championships was slower than the 3:34.57 run by NDSU on Saturday.
The Bison finished second in the meet, as Texas Tech – ranked No. 6 in the nation in the event – won in 3:34.12.

Maddie McClellan won the mile at Minnesota's Parents' Day Open today, running 4:52.04 to move up to 6th all-time at NDSU.
