Summit League Championships Page
FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The North Dakota State women's track & field team won 11 of a possible 17 event titles to cruise to a league-record seventh consecutive Summit League indoor team title on Saturday, Mar. 1, at the IPFW Athletics Center Fieldhouse.

The Bison racked up 233 points over the two-day meet – enough to outpace second-place South Dakota's 142 1/3 points and third-place Omaha's 109. NDSU has now claimed every Summit League indoor and outdoor track & field team title since joining the league for the 2007-08 season – a total of 13 straight with indoor and outdoor combined.

NDSU dominated on the final day of competition, claiming first-place finishes in seven of the eight events contested on the track. Junior
Maddie McClellan won the mile and 5,000m to go along with her 3,000m title from Friday evening. Senior sprinter
Antoinette Goodman won the 60m and 200m, senior
Ashley Tingelstad defended her title in the 400m, and junior
Paige Stratioti won her first indoor league title in the 800m.

Morgan Milbrath, Stratioti,
Amy Andrushko and Tingelstad capped the day by defending NDSU's 4x400m relay crown in 3:46.97.
McClellan was named the 2014 Summit League Track MVP, and Milbrath earned the league's Newcomer of the Championship award.

Goodman made history on two occasions Saturday, first running a school- and meet-record 7.50 seconds to win the league title in the 60m dash. She later ran 24.06 to win the 200m, becoming just the fourth four-time event champion in league history. Her time was the second-fastest 200m clocking all-time at NDSU.

McClellan ran a personal-best 4:49.87 to win the mile and rank fourth in NDSU history in the event. She capped her three-title weekend by winning the 5,000m by more than 10 seconds in 17:10.67.

Tingelstad led a Bison sweep of the top three places in the 400m dash for the third consecutive league meet. She finished in a meet record 54.44 seconds, while Stratioti was second in 54.88 and
Ashley Heinze was third in 56.08. Stratioti's and Heinze's times were both lifetime bests.

Stratioti earned her first indoor 800m title with a winning time of 2:11.08. Andrushko ran 2:13.65 for runner-up honors, and freshman
Jenny Guibert took fifth place.

In the field, junior thrower
Emily Lesser placed first in the shot put with a mark of 48-01.25 (14.66m) to sweep the titles in the throwing events.

The Bison also showcased their tremendous depth by coming away with a placewinner in 16 of the 17 events. NDSU finished third, fourth, fifth and tied for sixth in the pole vault with
Caitlin Mack,
Anna Benke,
Brittany Stangl and
Ann Govig, respectively. Mack and Benke each cleared 12-08.75 (3.88m).

NDSU recorded multiple high finishers in several events. Tingelstad finished as the runner-up to Goodman in the 200m, and freshman
Morgan Milbrath was fourth in both the 60m and 200m dashes before running her leg on the winning 4x400m relay team. Sophomore
Erin Teschuk placed second behind McClellan in the mile.

Katelyn Weimerskirch (7th in shot put) and
Heidi Peterson (7th in 5,000m).
