Mt. SAC Relays ResultsBryan Clay Invitational ResultsAshley Tingelstad broke a 13-year-old school record in the 400-meter dash and two other North Dakota State records fell Friday, April 18, at the Mt. SAC Relays in Walnut, Calif.
Tingelstad's winning time of 52.87 seconds leads The Summit League and ranks 14th in the nation. She broke the mark of 53.43 set by Tamara Brudy at the 2001 North Central Conference championship.
NDSU's
Antoinette Goodman broke her own 200-meter dash record with a time of 23.40 seconds, just .005 out of first place behind Southern California's CoCo Ndipagbor.
Freshman
Katelyn Weimerskirch set NDSU's discus record for the second straight week, improving by 30 inches to a mark of 163 feet, 2 inches that leads The Summit League.
NDSU got another top mark in the 400 from
Paige Stratioti, who placed sixth with a personal record of 54.01 seconds. Her time ranks second in The Summit League and is among the top 40 nationally.
The Bison had a pair of fourth-place finishers at Mt. SAC.
Deborah John clocked in at 13.54 seconds in the 100-meter hurdles and
Anna Benke was fourth in the pole vault with a height of 12 feet, 7 ½ inches.
At the Bryan Clay Invitational in Azusa, Calif., the Bison got a first-place finish in the 3,000-meter steeplechase from Summit League leader
Erin Teschuk, whose time of 10:23.75 was a new meet record.
NDSU continues competition Saturday, April 19, at the Mt. SAC Relays in Walnut and the Beach Invitational hosted by Long Beach State in Norwalk, Calif.
