Last Season vs. Kansas City
NDSU's second-half push came up short as the Bison fell 3-1 to Kansas City at Dacotah Field.

The Bison controlled much of the possession, holding a 55-45 edge and outshooting Kansas City 12-6. NDSU also earned six corner kicks to three for Kansas City.
Russmann nearly gave the Bison the lead in the third minute, with a shot going just wide of the post. The sophomore also hit the inside of the post in the 19th minute, with the rebound cutting across the front of goal before curving out for a goal kick.
