Hicks, Lafleche Inside Top Five After Day Two of Summit League Championship

MESA, Ariz. – Jeri Lafleche led the North Dakota State women's golf team to maintain their fourth-place position on the second day of the Summit League Championship at Longbow Golf Club on Monday afternoon.
Lafleche (76-72—148) improved by four strokes from round one to card the best Bison round of the day. The freshman led the team, firing four birdies in the middle round with nine holes at par to finish +1. Lafleche climbed six spots up the leaderboard and is positioned in a tie for fifth at +6 heading into the final round.
Madi Hicks (72-75—147) maintains her position as the top Bison through two rounds of play. Hicks was even through 12 holes in the second round and picked up a birdie on hole 10. The senior carded a second round of +4 to sit in fourth at +5 overall.
Cora Larson (77-78—155) and Avery Bartels (78-78—156) are one shot apart after the first 36 holes. Larson added two more birdies on day two to finish +7 for the round. Bartels also carded two birdies in the second round to finish +7 on the day. Heading into the final round of play, Larson is tied for 20th at +13 and Bartels tied for 22nd at +14.
Hannah Dunk (74) entered the NDSU lineup and recorded the last scoring round for day two. Dunk fired 11 pars in her first round of the event along with two birdies in the back nine to finish +3 on the day.
NDSU (303-299—602) improved their round one score by four strokes to maintain their fourth-place position. The Bison fired a round of +15 on day two, sitting just two shots behind third place heading into the final day. South Dakota State (298-286—584) remains the leader after 36-holes of play.
