Indoor (Freshman): Set a personal-best of 14-7 1/4 in the pole vault at the Minnesota Open...Finished second in the pole vault at the Concordia Duals.
Outdoor (Freshman): Finished fourth at the Cobber Duals with a personal best height of 15-6 1/4.
2006-07 SEASON: Redshirt.
HIGH SCHOOL: Local product graduated from Fargo South in 2006... Set a personal record of 14-3 in the pole vault at the state meet en route to a third-place finish... Placed eighth as a junior in the vault... Four-time letterwinner in cross country, twice in wrestling... Member of two state champion cross country teams.
PERSONAL: Son of Richard and Diane Svaleson... Family includes an older sister, Lisa, who competed in track & field at Montana State from 2000-03... Majoring in criminal justice... Recipient of the Ian Engberg Memorial Scholarship.
